Shortly after the New Year the Team at Phoenix Evolution Consulting were able to successfully deliver the Network & Security and Infoblox workstreams within CDW (UK)’s University of Birmingham (Dubai) Programme and give notice to stand down from the role.
We are pleased to be able to announce that following a lengthy period of downtime due to the COVID 19 Pandemic and the UK Lockdown the Team have successfully secured a Contract with CDW (UK) to join the University of Birmingham (Dubai) Programme to deliver the Network & Security workstream commencing early 2021. The Network & Security workstream is made up of 7 work packages, these are:
WP1 – SDA
WP2 – ACI
WP3 – OOB management
WP4 – Security
WP5 – ISE
WP6 – Stealthwatch
WP7 – Infoblox
The Team will be working with both in-House and Contractor resources alongside third-party suppliers to deliver a completely new facility for the University of Birmingham, part of the elite Russell Group of Universities, in the United Arab Emirates’ Academic City.
As of March 2020 the UK is now in a full lockdown due to the COVID 19 Pandemic with the Public advised to remain Home, as such the Team have been looking for a way to support our fellow Contractors which has led to a partnership with Craig Wallace of Pandion Consulting and the launch of a little endeavor we have named the Jon Show LIVE.
Shows will be held three times a Week via SKYPE and advertised on the LinkedIN Platform so please reach out to our Director, Jon Richelieu-Booth, either via email or on LinkedIN itself for an invite.
The Team at Phoenix Evolution travelled to London at the start of February 2020 to meet with a number of fellow Contractors in order to protest outside the Houses of Parliament in the London with the aim of influencing Chancellor Sajid Javid to reconsider the ill-advised roll-out of the Off-Payroll Tax, commonly referred to as IR35, into the Private Sector following it’s disastrous introduction into the Public Sector during 2017.
Happy New Year everyone. I am pleased to be able to announce that the Chairman has confirmed to me that we have secured a Team for the 2020 Season . Therefore we will be recommencing pre-Season Training at Priestthorpe School in Pudsey , West Yorkshire from 7pm on Monday 13th January 2020.

I am pleased to be able to announce the first phase of amendments to the Phoenix Evolution Consulting website has commenced.
These updates will be made live as we progress through our schedule. The first of these updates is that we have added in a section on ‘Programme Management’ within the ‘Services Page’ and this will drive our amendments to the ‘Home Page’.

The Team were reached out to by Danny Bennett, a Consultant at IT Works Health, to fill a gap that his counterpart at Populo had with Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust based out of Royal Preston in Preston, Lancashire. We were briefed that the Trust intended to roll out Office 365, TEAMS, SharePoint & Windows 10 and as such a Pilot was required.
Terms have been agreed and we are commencing work on the Pilot Programme immediately.
We will also be working with in-House resource and Contractor resource to deliver the following:

DaaS (Device as a Service, aka PCaaS – PC as a Service) Implementation
Data Center consolidation
Data Center review
Fire Suppression and Water Ingress Review

We will also be implementing PRINCE2 best practices and governance to create a formal Program Management Office (PMO) for the Trust.
